Echoes of a Distant Tide

The Bread 是在上世紀60年代末期到70年代中期紅極一時的團體

其曲風是以抒情的軟搖滾為主，帶有一點民謠風味，

也有少數幾首是節奏比較強烈一點的硬搖滾 (hard rock)的，

在音樂上的分歧是後來樂團走向分裂的主要原因。

其最有名的歌曲大概就是 If 了吧, 

充分表達出寫詞才華的If，是許多西洋老歌全輯的必選曲目

不過我個人最喜歡的，是這首make it with you (同時也是他們的成名曲)

特別是它的間奏

輕巧的電吉它獨奏，加上弦樂的陪襯，讓曲子更有層次，更增加情感的豐富度，

非常適合靜靜地聽、靜靜地思考，帶著心上人一起邁向未知的前方，

接下來的生命，將由兩個人一同創造，就是所謂 make it with you ~
